Nexxworks launches a new hybrid learning community October 13, 2020

Mission CX, a 10-series course on the future of customer experience, is the first of many community-based virtual programs on nexxworks’ new platform.

Founded on the basis of the ‘Network Always Wins’ model (after the eponymous book of nexxworks Founder Peter Hinssen), nexxworks has always operated on a ‘human first’ basis, deliberately focusing on real live interactions during our innovation tours and bootcamps. And then the coronavirus hit us. Even before it reached Belgium, in our case, as we had been organizing many tours to China, where the COVID-19 virus first surfaced.

That was the moment that we learned the true meaning of the adage “Never let a good crisis go to waste”.

When a crisis becomes an opportunity

In record time, we moved all of our custom-made innovation programs online. Simultaneously, we started organizing free webinars with some of the most inspiring thought leaders out there: first on how to deal with the COVID-19 crisis, later about customer experience under pressure, healthcare, the future of mobility (upcoming, on October 16) and, soon, insurance.

Just like the rest of the world, we became virtual-only, because that was the only available business channel at that moment.

Mission CX

As we learned about the ins and outs of online learning platforms through our tailor-made programs, we saw the opportunity to create a live online course, available for everyone everywhere in the world. That’s when our Mission CX saw the daylight: a monthly subscription program with 10 live online sessions about customer experience, featuring top international speakers like Brian Solis, Nir Eyal, Ken Hughes, Blake Morgan, former Disney’s Duncan Wardle and disruptive cases like Anyroad, OTO, Formula 1, Bol.com and MAX Burgers. Mission CX aims at functioning just as much as a learning and inspiration platform as like a peer community, in order to keep integrating the Network Always Wins concept that lies at our roots.

The future of learning is hybrid

Mission CX is just the first of many more programs to come, both on the new subscription-based learning community and off, in-real-life, because we believe that the future of corporate learning is hybrid. We believe in a powerful synergy between:

  • small scale and intimate (and, for now, corona-proof) inspiration and learning gatherings of like-minded innovators building a network with top speakers, visiting companies and their peers;
  • and a powerful online learning community that offer the fantastic advantage of bringing peers and speakers of all nations together in the comfort of their own home.
