Nexxworks launches brand new disruptive innovation model
Because nexxworks believes that business innovation consulting, at present, does not employ a sustainable approach, it is launching a combination of coaching and ecosystem-thinking in order to make traditional companies...
nexxworks is currently launching a radically different innovation model, designed to break down the traditional pattern of consultancy. The nexxworks’ method tackles the change from two sides: internal and external.
Internal: injection of startup DNA
An innovation model can only be sustainable if the ideas, experiments and changes are created and implemented internally, on a continuous basis. Which is why the Belgian startup does not believe in reports and other one-off initiatives when it comes down to radical innovation. It helps to form an internal innovation team which then receives the (digital) tools, insights and know-how to get weaving, both autonomously and sustainably. The aim being to instil them with entrepreneurship and startup DNA: through, among other things, `innovation tours’, intensive Ignition Boot Camps and an extensive `menu’ of experienced coaches. The latter can, among other things, be deployed as supervisors when carrying out experiments and finding/implementing new business models.
External: include that activity in a network
At the same time, nexxworks is developing an ecosystem to encourage the sharing of talent and experiences between its customers and business partners. In the beta version of this exchange network, that sharing still occurs via local exchange initiatives, but the startup is currently digitizing the model in order to exponentially upscale the impact thereof.
“One of the unique aspects of our innovation model is the caliber of coaches that we partner with, and the kind of radical and unconventional subject-matter that they deliver”, said nexxworks CEO and Partner Rik Vera. “Our coaching `menu’ comprises both employees with widely differing profiles and industry experts, whose fresh perspective is down to their divergent backgrounds. That could, for example be a CEO, a digital marketing wizard or a tech specialist but equally biologists, stage directors, draftsmen and cartoonists”, nexxworks founder and Partner Peter Hinssen added. “In other words, it’s usually entrepreneurs who, themselves, have innovated in some field or other, instead of merely theorizing about it”.
