Future of Shopping Tour

Sunday 8 October - Friday 13 October 2017

The way we buy has made a 360° degree turn. Shoppers jump enthusiastically between touchpoints in this phygital world. From online to offline and back. They expect you to know them. They expect you to surprise them. They expect you to care. Oh yes, and then there’s those who have stopped buying your products…they prefer to hire them via the sharing economy.

Everyone is aware that digital is the new normal, but now what? What does it mean for your business? Who will buy what you’re selling in the Day After Tomorrow?

Forward-thinking retailers like Amazon and Alibaba are shipping billions of dollars’ worth of products every day. E-commerce has never been bigger and it keeps growing at an explosive rate. New digital business models - continuously blurring channels - are popping up every day: welcome in the phygital shopping environment!

The role of stores & restaurants is evolving rapidly. New concepts are changing the way people shop and consume. Robotics, beacons and digital interfaces are creating a new kind of digital experience in the offline retail world.

Expected service levels are skyrocketing: your customer wants you to know his preferences but also to give him absolute empowerment of choice. New technologies like conversational interfaces, big data, machine learning, virtual reality and robotics allow you to personalize your service and automate your warehouse processes. But which ones are the ones for you? Now, and for your Day After Tomorrow?

From cutting through the information overload to smoothening the payment experience. Your customer’s path to purchase is not linear anymore. How will you thrive in this multi-channel, blurring world of shopping?

Prepare to be blown away, like the participants of the last Future of Shopping Tour:

"The trip with nexxworks to Silicon Valley was more than an eye opener! Besides the fascinating visits, insights, and more than interesting discussions, Peter and Steven also challenged us to make something concrete with the accumulated know-how within 3 months. Almost exactly three months later, we launched our own startup: www.re-pair.be." - Olivier Lanckriet

We are still building a jaw-dropping program for you together with our partners, but during our previous Future of Shopping Tour we visited OAK Labs, Eataly, NormalStripe & many (many) other forward-thinking companies. Our tour guides will make sure you return with an emotional and intellectual awareness that will shift your perspective.

The final program will be announced some time before kick-off.

Subscribe to our monthly event letter at the bottom of our event page and we'll keep you posted.

The program will be conducted in English.
